This position will ensure compliance with the legal and company requirements regarding Health, Safety, Environment and Emergency Preparedness for the STADA Hemofarm laboratory in Timisoara;

1. **Health and Safety:**
- Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations, industry standards and company requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the laboratory's adherence to occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Provide training to laboratory personnel on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
2. **Environmental Management:**
- Establish and maintain environmental management systems to minimize the laboratory's impact on the environment.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
- Recommend and implement measures to reduce the laboratory's carbon footprint and promote sustainability.
3. **Emergency Preparedness:**
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans tailored to the specific risks of the laboratory.
- Conduct regular drills and simulations to ensure staff readiness in case of emergencies.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities and emergency services to enhance the laboratory's emergency preparedness.
4. **Regulatory Compliance:**
- Stay updated on applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Ensure the laboratory's compliance with regulatory requirements and
- Conduct inspections, planned or ad-hoc, prepare reports, communicate the findings, set corrective and preventive actions and follow up on implementation.
5. **Incident Investigation:**
- Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Document and report incidents to relevant stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and senior management.
6. **Training and Awareness:**
- Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Foster a safety culture within the laboratory, encouraging proactive reporting of hazards, Near Misses and drive continuous improvement.
7. **Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of laboratory operations.
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and industry groups, to stay informed on best practices and industry trends.
- Propose and drive implementation of HSE improvement projects
- Maintain communication with the competent authorities and other collaborators as needed.
8. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, prepare regular reports for management and regulatory bodies, summarizing key HSE performance indicators and highlighting areas for improvement.

Education:
Higher education in a technical field.

Fire safety course (Cadru tehnic PSI).
Civil protection course (Inspector Protectie Civila)
Environmental responsible course (Responsabil de mediu).
Waste management course (Responsabil gestiunea deseurilor).
Languages: English
Experience:
3 years Expertise in a manufacturing environment: pharmaceutical industry (is a plus), FMCG, food, automotive or similar fully regulated businesses;
Experience with ISand ISStandards is a plus
Proficient in using Microsoft suite: (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
