C.H. Robinson is currently looking for a Carrier Representative. In this role you will spend majority of time on on building contractual relationships as well as negotiating spot market commitments with carriers. You are responsible for calling carriers based on interest generated from our customers. You provide day to day status updates, identify issues, seek input from others to help determine the best course of action, and implement solutions. Applying trucks to loads in contractual as well as transactional commitment.

Responsibilities:

Develop supply chain solutions in order to effectively support our customer go-to-market strategyResolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically, seeking input to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutionsMaintain and grow relationships with carrier accounts identifying opportunitiesfor additional collaborationResearch new carriers in the marketplace, generate leads, and build new carrier relationshipsConduct calls with carriers to determine carrier availability, commitment, and negotiate transportation ratesEnsure that specific customer load requirements are met on committed and/or ad-hoc shipmentsIdentifies backup carriers for critical situationsStudy and understand market trends and seasonalityMakes truck offers to Capacity teams in own and other branches in the network.Managing own personal development plan
Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExcellent English communication skills (verbal and written)Commercial skills

Entrepreneurial characterInternational mindsetStrong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence othersAbility to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent resultsDriven, enthusiastic, and highly committedAbility to build strong relationships1 - 3 years of experience in a commercial roleAdditional European language is an assetValues a diverse and inclusive work environment
