DevOps Engineer

We are on the lookout for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer with a keen interest in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions to become part of our dynamic team. The successful candidate should have a foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and automation tools. Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Terraform will be considered an advantage. In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of scalable and dependable applications.

**Key Responsibilities:**- Assist in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to achieve high availability, performance, and scalability.- Help in deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on GCP.- Support the implementation and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters for efficient application deployment and scaling.- Contribute to the development and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions for streamlined code integration, testing, and deployment.- Monitor system performance, assist in troubleshooting issues, and contribute to solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency.- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure builds with application deployment processes.- Aid in implementing and upholding security best practices for cloud infrastructure and applications.- Document changes to infrastructure, architectural decisions, and operational procedures.- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends, suggesting innovations that can improve our capabilities.- Optionally, assist in designing and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for effective resource management and versioning.
**Qualifications:**- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- At least 1 year of experience in a DevOps role, with a keen focus on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.- Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially Github Actions.- A solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.- Knowledge of Elasticsearch and its deployment in cloud environments is a plus.- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
