Chief Accountant

Tasks and Responsibilities

Accordance with Romanian accounting law;
Maintaining accounting records and preparation of monthly and annual accounts in Preparation of the registers (sales/purchase registers, VAT register) according to the accounts;
Ensuring the timely preparation and submission of VAT returns and income tax returns;
Preparing financial statements and coordination with external auditors to ensure smooth audit process;
Ensuring any new transactions are accounted for in line with local legislation;
Monthly control over balances;
Successfully completed studies in Accounting/Finance
Monitoring changes in local accounting and tax law to ensure compliance with local legislation;
Approval of contracts;
Manage relationship with the banks, fiscal authorities, external and internal auditors and consultants etc.;
Coordination with external tax advisors;

·Profile of Requirements

Successfully completed studies in Accounting/Finance;
At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting/taxation;
Very good knowledge of Romanian accounting legislation;
Excellent knowledge of Romanian tax law (VAT, corporate income tax);
Sound knowledge of MS Excel;
Sense of responsibility and solution-oriented thinking;
Structured, independent and conscientious way of working with a high degree of precision;
Good communication and cooperation skills;
Fluent English language skills;
Advantage is experience of working in international structure;
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is preferred.
